Today I visited Braun Hamstead's (the attorney hired by the GHPOA) office and was able to make copies of many of The GHPOA's financial records and Minutes for the last 2 years. I had asked the Board, as I have posted on this board to have an appointment to do this and no one responded to me.
When I sent an email with a copy of my request of September 7th to Mr. Hamstead he kindly and immediately answered it and followed up with a phone call to invite me to his office to view and copy records. I met with Mr. Hamstead today and found him to be very gracious. He told me that my request was quite reasonable and that is why he immediately arranged for me to have access to the corporate records.
I went to his office today of my own accord and not as anyone's employee. No money has or will change hands. I placed a request with Mr. Hamstead, he gave me access, I have the records I wanted access to and the matter is ended as far as I am concerned. I will now analyze the information that I have and if I draw any conclusions of note I will make the appropriate persons aware of my findings.
On another subject, I am very tired of the animosity in the neighborhood. It is so sad and unproductive. To those individuals who either call me and my family interesting names, use hand gestures, or pretend not to see me when I go by, I say, please...let's all grow up here and if not be friends, at least be cordial. I also am very sad that there are actually people here who treat my children in the same way. My children are not involved in the workings of Glen Haven. Let's leave them out of any ill feelings or destructive actions. I am old enough to have gone at one time to Jr. High (not middle school). When I was there, some girls played the game of "I'll pretend I don't see you or hear you" to those they didn't like. They would gossip and basically try to make the kids in the "out" group feel bad. Basically, this behavior reflected more on them than on the kids they were trying to victimize. I say lets all move on from Jr. High, do what we have to do, and at least be civil to one another. Actually, there is no one in Glen Haven that I wouldn't like to be friends with.
I can tell you that no one here actually knows what I think or how I feel about the things going on in our neighborhood unless I have told them. I have several friends here and they are privy to my thoughts and opinions. Anyone else merely guessing.
When I see you, I'll smile and wave. I hope you do the same. Blessings and Peace to everyone here.
