Yesterday morning about 11:30, Lou Thompson and I had a conference call with Jenny Thacker in which we asked her what date the board planned to set a meeting requested by the group of residents to discuss the questions regarding the proposed expenditures. Jenny said she had sent out an email the previous evening to the other board members but had not yet received any reply. She was concerned that there was no place to meet because my home has a dog and some people have allergies.
I volunteered, and subsequently contacted Smitty, (Maurice Smith, a signer) who has made the Bakerton Methodist Church available at any time besides Sunday Morning for a donation of $25. I emailed Jenny with the same information, proposing a Saturday afternoon at 2, when most people are available and not interfering with dinner time. I have not heard back but the ball is in the court of the Board.
1. They have received a legal request for a meeting.
2. It has been legally sent and posted.
3. The President has acknowledged receipt and contacted the other members about a date.
4. We have provided an affordable accessible place and date.
5. We are just waiting for a reply.
