I haven't seen action on this site in a few months, and I hope it is still in use.
Where are the sand barrels?
Marilyn Avenue and Mason Drive, along with the corners of Virginia Avenue and Connie Avenue have been left a slick mess after every snowfall and ice accumulation we have had this season.
Instead of the association money being spent on lawyers and things that don't meet code, why isn't "Maintenance" making sure our community roads are safer to travel on in bad weather.
At least have "Maintenance" put the barrels back out so we can spread sand ourselves if need be.
Personally I would prefer not to slide into my neighbors yard or vehicles when turning down my street.
Safe Travels,
Cyndy Thompson, Adam and Julia Houck

Hi Cyndy, I agree with you. It is awful coming into the neighborhood and turning onto Viriginia and Connie Avenues as well as leaving. There is no explanation as to why the sand barrels were removed. Perhaps the decision makers aren't affected by the bad weather so they may feel there is no need to put sand down. Only other thing I can think of is there is no money in the GHPOA fund to fill them, which is pathetic. Bottom line--it is dangerous. Sad for Glen Haven.

Thank you GHPOA Board of Directors, As you well know, this past week, the roads were a mess, very slippery even though plowed, and dangerous which generated the previous messages. So, your response to the need to replace the sand barrels on Marilyn Avenue (I didn't check Mason Drive) is greatly appreciated for when we get the next snow blast which will come. Again, thank you for responding to this need of the community. Lou
